Christian Life and Service Seminars Print E-mail

Christian Life and Service Seminars (C.L.A.S.S.) are designed to help you grow spiritually! The classes are offered on Wednesday nights at the Beavercreek Campus from 7-9pm. Topics include individual books of the Bible, life and family, and ministry formation. Conducted in a college class format, you are guaranteed to grow deeper in your spiritual walk with God. There is no childcare provided during Wednesday night C.L.A.S.S.

C.L.A.S.S. seminars begin Wednesday, September 29, 2010 and run for 8 weeks. Offered this fall are:

  1. Introduction to the Bible
  2. 12 Things Every Christian Should Know
  3. Pentateuch (Genesis-Deuteronomy) In this thematic study of the first five books of the Old Testament, participants will gain an appreciation for these books as an epic narrative. Weekly topics include Creation and Stewardship; The Fall; Law and Grace; Holy, Clean, and Unclean; Tabernacle Symbolism, Worship and The Feasts; The Call of God; and Promises and Fulfillment. We will also make connections to New Testament faith and practice.
  4. Renewing Your Mind: Doing God's Will
  5. Knowing God in Everyday Life - Do you love God but find that His peace, joy, and power are often a ‘hit and miss’ quality to your life? Does Jesus’ promise ‘My sheep will know My voice’ seem a bit illusive to you? If so this is the class for you. We will Biblically examine what it means to be filed with the Holy Spirit daily and to realize the fullness of ‘walking with God’ rather than occasionally experiencing Him.
  6. Creating God Space - Learn to hear God prompts, notice others as you serve. Lean how to listen well, tell your story effectively, and wonder your way into the heart of your friends and family. This is an interactive study, shared experiences and field trips planned.
  7. Preparing for Marriage - This series provides teaching and mentoring for couples preparing to get married. Conducted in a small group setting, we make the time fun and interactive.
